✔️작품소개: 어느 회사의 출장 판매원인 주인공 그레고르는 잠을 자고 일어났더니 자신이 큰 갑충으로 변해있음을 알게 된다. 그런 상황이면서도 그날 아침 출장을 걱정한다. 그레고르는 자신의 소득으로 가족들을 먹여 살리고 있었는데 항상 일찍 일어나 일과를 시작하는 그였기에 아직 방에서 나오지 않은 것이 가족들에게 이상하게 느껴지기 시작한다. 그때 그가 출근하지 않은 것을 알게 된 회사 지배인이 이 집으로 찾아오고 그레고르 방 밖에서 빨리 나오라고 소란을 피우기까지 한다. 그레고르는 힘겹게 문을 열고 나오는데, 벌레로 변한 그를 보고 모두 기절초풍한다. 지배인은 혼비백산 도망쳐버리고 아버지는 신문지를 휘두르며 그를 위협해 방으로 들여보낸 후 문을 닫아버린다. 그레고르는 이 상황을 이해하고 있지만 간단한 의사소통조차 할 수 없고 어떠한 이 문제를 타개할 수 없자 가족들을 위해서 최대한 몸을 숨긴 체 조용히 지내야겠다고 결심한다. 그렇게 그레고르는 조금씩 벌레로서의 삶에 익숙해져간다. 그러던 어느 날 돌이킬 수 없는 사건이 일어나는데....

✔️Synopsis: The main character, Gregor, a traveling salesman for a company, wakes up to find that he has transformed into a large beetle. Even in that situation, he worries about the business trip that morning. As Gregor is his family's sole breadwinner, he always wakes up early to start his day. But that day, his family starts to notice that something was wrong because he wasn’t leaving of his room. His office manager of the company, who finds out of his unexcused absence, comes to his house and makes a fuss outside of the Gregor room to come out quickly. Gregor struggles to open the door and comes out, but everyone was utterly horrified to see him being transformed into an insect. The manager runs away in a panic, and Gregor’s father threatens him with a newspaper and sends him into the room and slams the door behind him. Gregor understands the situation, but since he can't even communicate a single word to deal this trouble, he decides to stay quiet hiding as much as he can for the sake of his family. As time passes, Gregor gradually gets used to his life as a bug. Then one day, an irreversible incident happens...
