✔️작품소개: 주인공 오셀로는 의심에 사로잡힌 나머지 질투심에 미쳐 사랑하는 아내 데스데모나를 죽이게 된다. 아내의 결백을 알게 된 오셀로는 절망 속에서 어떤 생각을 했을까? ‘노인이 반복해서 ’오셀로‘를 공연한다’는 독특한 접근방식의 설정으로 시작하는 이 작품은 6명의 배우들이 함께 하며 2022년 8월 후쿠오카에서 열린 국제교류 프로그램에서 부산의 배우들과 공동작업한 결과물을 바탕으로 더욱 발전시켜나가는 작품이다. 세계적으로 인정받을만한 가치가 있는 셰익스피어 작품의 보편성을 M.M.S.T만의 방식으로 관객들과 공유한다.
✔️Synopsis: Trapped by suspicion and mad with jealousy, the protagonist Othello kills his beloved wife Desdemona. What did Othello think in his despair when he discovered his wife's innocence? Othello, one of Shakespeare's four great tragedies, will be performed with only six actors. This performance is structured around the unique approach of "older persons who have performed 'Othello' repeatedly", and we’d like to take this opportunity to further improve this production, which was co-created with actors from Busan during an international exchange programme held in Fukuoka in August 2022. We believe this is a Shakespeare production worthy of worldwide recognition and would like to share it with a larger audience.
